CONNY WYSSEN

Indoors and outdoors, lounge and woodland, Eames furniture and bird song – Conny Wyssen combines a passion for interior design with a love of nature. Before working for Vitra for 10 years, she devised visual concepts for a large Swiss trading company, always drawing energy from the lightheartedness of life in nature. She lives with her family in an old house in Riehen, which she has furnished with design classics from the 1950s and furniture inherited from her grandparents to make a comfortable and charming home.  

PHILOSOPHY

The starting point of my work are human needs and wishes, which I then shape into an appropriate interior design concept. Light, lustre, the old and the new, colours, materials, smells and acoustics come together to lend a room its distinctive atmosphere. I always devote special attention to the details. Sometimes a wall painted a certain colour, a unique fabric or a special plant is all it takes to set a room apart and create the perfect place to wind down, or focus on work.
